Story Synopsis
A private detective, Josephine Caspain is hired by a dying criminal oligarch to investigate the nature of reality and find a cure for mortality.
Caspain consults a reclusive psychiatrist, Burton, and between them they attempt to unravel a bizarre series of connections and coincidences.
During their investigation they encounter a man who is convinced he is the reincarnation of Julius Caesar, an elderly couple who claim to have discovered an magical realm at the bottom of their garden, a physicist who has believes she has discovered the secrets of time travel, and a famous atheist who is determined to kill God.
As her sense of reality unravels, Caspain continues her search for the truth, however unexpected it may prove to be.
